The White Township Supervisors last night approved bids for paving and seal coating.
The winning bids for seal coating went to Russell Standard Corporation of Mars, PA at a cost of $45,823, and East American, Inc-Force Paving got the winning bid for paving in the township at a total of $334,921.
In other business, the Township Supervisors tabled accepting grants for two projects, as the grants are not as much as they hoped it would be and costs were higher than anticipated. The two projects were Green-Light-Go project for a new traffic signal at the intersection of Warren Road, Ben Franklin Road and Indian Springs Road, and the DEP Fuels incentive grant that would help pay for the conversion of new trucks to a different form of gasoline. Township Manager Milt Lady said if the costs are not reduced, they could be forced to return the grants.
