A student from Indiana has been elected president of IUP’s Student Government Association. 2017 Indiana High School graduate Alexander Fefolt is a history pre-law and political science major in the Cook Honors College. He will serve as the president of the IUP student body for the next year.
Fefolt served with SGA as the Cook Honors College senator this past fall semester and as vice president this spring.
IUP has also announced that Daniel Aikins of Airport Road, Indiana, is the recipient of the John H. Armstrong Criminology Scholarship. Aikins is a 2016 Penns Manor who will graduate Saturday with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice. He has a 4.0 grade point average.
The John H. Armstrong Criminology Scholarship is named in memory of the Indiana attorney who served in the Navy, became a state trooper, graduated from IUP in 1970 with a degree in criminology and later earned his law degree and began a long career as an attorney.
