Manager Derek Shelton says JT Brubaker had an uo-and-down performance, but kept the Bucs in the game.

The ten-game road trip continues tonight with the start of a three-game series in San Francisco. Pirates right-hander Bryse Wilson [2-6, 5.86 ERA] faces Giants lefty Carlos Rodon [10-6, 2.95 ERA]. It’s a 9:50 airtime, a 10:15 first pitch on WCCS.
Cherished mementos owned by former Pirates center fielder Omar Moreno will be auctioned off this weekend, including his 1979 World Series ring, a warmup jacket he wore that season, and the glove he used to catch the final out of the Game 7 victory by the Bucs in Baltimore. The sale also includes a 1985 World Series ring won as a member of the Kansas City Royals. The proceeds will benefit the Omar Moreno Foundation, which aids underprivileged children in his native Panama through after-school programs and baseball.
The auction will be conducted online at robertedwardsauctions.com , with final bids due by 9 PM Sunday and the winning bids announced before midnight that night.
