The Pirates’ Kevin Newman slapped an RBI triple in the seventh inning and Josh Bell hit two home runs to give the Bucs a come-from-behind 6-4 win over the Oakland A’s.
Rookie Bryan Reynolds extended his hitting streak to eleven games, tying Gregory Polanco’s team record for hits in consecutive games at the start of his major league career.

The injury riddled Pirates (15-15) also announced that ace Jameson Taillon will miss more than a month with a strained pitching elbow. He will not throw for a month before starting his rehab. Taillon had the elbow surgically reconstructed with Tommy John surgery in 2014.
The Pirates also lost reliever Keone Kela to an undisclosed injury in last night’s game. They are already playing without injured pitcher Chris Archer, shortstop Erik Gonzalez, and left fielder Corey Dickerson.
