On Tuesday, the United School Board approved an agreement that is part of the merger of the district’s sports teams with Blacklick Valley.
The board approved authorizing the Blacklick Valley Director/Trainer and the Blacklick Valley team doctors to treat United School District Athletes requiring medical attention at a team event, with the understanding that the Athletic Director/Trainer and the Blacklick Valley doctors will not act under the control, supervision or direction of the United School District or its employees. Board member Shaun McGinnis said this was part and parcel of the new arrangement to bring both teams together.
In other business, the board approved the bus and van routes for the next school year and made several hirings in advance of the new school year, including Douglas McNulty as the varsity baseball coach and Dennis Rudnik as the head softball coach.
