Both the Indiana Area and Purchase Line school boards will meet tonight and work on issues related to the beginning of the school year.
Indiana Area will consider a number of agreements with supplemental education groups, a policy on the use of electronics by students, two security contracts, and a host of personnel items (including coaches for fall, winter, and spring sports).
The Policy and Personnel Committee will meet at 5:30 and the full board at 7:00, and both meetings will be available in person and digitally via the school district website.
At Purchase Line, the work session agenda includes the school district’s three-year comprehensive plan and the induction plan, as well as a large list of personnel items, supplemental education agreements, and approval of teacher and student handbooks.
Among the other agenda items is consideration of a new four-year agreement with AFSCME, the union representing the district’s support personnel.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 PM.
