After following up the draft of highly-touted linebacker Devin Bush (Michigan) with their first pick on Thursday and wide receiver Diontae Johnson (Toledo) and cornerback Justin Layne (Michigan State) on Friday, the Steelers finished the NFL draft with running back Benny Snell (Kentucky) in the fourth round, followed by tight end Zach Gentry (Michigan), defensive end Sutton Smith (Northern Illinois), defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs (Alabama), linebacker Ulysees Gilbert (Akron), and tackle Derwin Gray (Maryland).
Pittsburgh then signed ten undrafted free agents:
