The Altoona Curve dominated the first of a three-game series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels with a 7-0 win Friday night.
James Marvel dominated with another seven scoreless innings, and was able to get out of a sticky incident in the fourth when Richmond had two hits and runners on second and third, he was able to retire the side. Marvel allowed four hits and posted three strikeouts, and extended his scoreless streak to 14.2 innings in his last three outings.
The two teams return to PNG field this afternoon for game two of the three-game set.
