High School football season is just around the corner, but preseason festivities kick-off today with the Heritage Conference and WestPAC Media Day.
Representatives from all member schools will be at Windber Stadium this afternoon as players and coaches give their thoughts on the upcoming season, which has a couple new features coming.
One feature is the addition of the Portage Mustangs as they make their way to the Heritage Conference after they went 7-4 overall last season and 5-2 in the WestPAC. Another is how the combination of United and Blacklick Valley’s programs will pan out on the field this season.
It all concludes with the unveiling of the 2022-23 Heritage Conference Coaches Poll, presented by First Commonwealth Bank. Cambria Heights was the favorite last year with seven first place votes, followed by Marion Center (1), Homer-Center, and River Valley (1).
