Today’s the last day for voter registration for this year’s spring primary election, and for the special election to choose Don White’s successor in the State Senate. White retired from the 41st District office in February.
When voters enter the booth on May 21st, they will be given a primary election ballot and a second ballot for the special election. The special election pits White’s former chief of staff, Joe Pittman, against IUP professor Susan Boser. Each of the candidates was chosen by their party, and will serve only through the end of 2020, when the term ends. Should they choose to run again, they would then have to go through the primary election process in the spring of 2021.
Residents may register in person at the Indiana County voter registration office or online.
