The Pirates lost their sixth straight game last night and their second straight in 10 innings, 2-1, to the Phillies, with the winning run scoring on a throwing error by first baseman Michael Chavis.

Altoona also lost by a 2-1 score to Bowie. It was the Curve’s seventh loss in eight games since the All-Star break.
