CURVE WINS HOME OPENER

The Altoona Curve opened their home season against Akron last night and came away with a 12-inning, 3-2 win.

Bligh Madris had the game-winning hit. The Curve, now 6-2, will play game two at 6 p.m. tonight. Scooter Hightower gets the start.
