The jackpot for one of the multi-state lottery games has grown to over three quarters of a billion for tonight’s drawing.
No one has picked all five regular numbers and the Megaball since April 15th, when someone in Tennessee won for $20 million. Along with the money not won that has kept rolling over, strong sales have driven the jackpot to an estimated $810 million annuity prize, with a cash option of $470.1 million. If won, it will be the third largest Mega Millions jackpot and fourth lottery jackpot in history. The record is currently held by Powerball, with a $1.586 billion winner in 2016. The highest Mega Millions jackpot was $1.537 billion won in October of 2018.
Tickets can be purchased up to 9:59 tonight. The odds of hitting the Mega Millions jackpot is 1 in 302.6 million.
