No one was injured in a structure fire that happened Monday afternoon in Blairsville Borough.
Indiana County 911 sent fire crews from Blairsville, Black Lick, Coral/Graceton and Homer City, along with the county hazmat team and Citizens’ Ambulance, to a fire located at 4 Miller Drive around 1:30 p.m.
Blairsville Fire Department spokesperson Ab Dettorre said the fire was electrical in nature that stemmed from a ceiling fan in the kitchen of the home, and crews were able to extinguish it using a couple gallons of water. Dettorre adds that the fire did not extend into the attic, but there was enough smoke to ventilate it.
No injuries were reported and the home took on minimal water damage.
Black Lick Fire Department assisted in putting the fire out, while crews from Coral/Graceton and Homer City were canceled en route.

Initial scanner feeds said the cause of the fire was a ceiling fan inside the home but that has not been confirmed by fire officials yet.
