Graduation ceremonies for IUP continue today at the KCAC.
A total of 2,426 students will cross the stage to receive their degrees. Yesterday, students receiving their masters and doctoral degrees were held last night, and today, there will be two undergraduate ceremonies. The first ceremony today will be for students in the College of Health and Human Services and the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. That will be at 9:00 today. The 2:00 PM ceremony will be for students at the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology, College of Education and Educational Technology, College of Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Fine Arts.
Also as a part of the ceremonies, IUP will continue a tradition of those celebrating their 50th anniversary of their IUP graduation by leading the graduates in to the arena. Alumni from the class of 1967 will lead the students in. A total of 42 students will be recognized with perfect 4.0 grade point averages.
Residents can expect a lot of traffic around campus, especially on Wayne Avenue, Oakland Avenue, and Maple Street as students and their families and friends are arriving for the ceremony. Guests and students are advised to arrive early and use the designated parking lots and shuttle buses to get to the KCAC. There will be no charge for parking for commencement. Bus routes and parking maps can be found at www.IUP.edu/commencement and you can also use the IndiGo Route Shout app for real-time access to shuttle schedules.
