It was an active day on two area ball fields for the Youth Legion Western Regional Tournament.
At the White Township Recreation Complex on Friday, defending state champions Penn-Trafford plated four runs in the third inning and that was all they needed in a 4-1 victory over Indiana County League Champion Brookville.
In the other game in Indiana, Wesleyville came from behind to down Edinboro, 5-4.
Meanwhile, at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City, Westmoreland County League Champ Murrysville beat Erie 6-3. In the night-cap, host team S.W. Jack of Indiana fell to Connellsville 5-1.
Action continues Saturday with four games in pool play and all four will be at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City
