Frank E. Moore, age 85 of Indiana, died Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
He was born in 1933 in Rochester Mills to Evelett B. And Alice Work Moore.
Frank was a member of the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder. He also served as the Republican State Committee Chairman, as Justice of the Peace in Rochester Mills, as Indiana County Treasurer, and as a State Representative in the 62nd District. He also served as past Chairman of the American Cancer Drive, past
President of the Indiana Volunteer Fire Assoc., and as co-founder of “Welcome to Indiana.” Frank also served as past president of Indiana Bear Club, and was a member of Little Mahoning Country Club and the BPOE Lodge #931.
Frank was employed for Bell Telephone for 35 years. He was also instrumental in developing many real estate projects. One of Frank’s proudest accomplishments was working with his daughter Linda on the 75th Birthday Celebration for Jimmy Stewart. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at camp and the farm. He was proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Anyone who knew Frank will remember him for his great stories and jokes.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Peggy Marshall Moore, Indiana; two daughters and two sons – Beverly Chichy and husband John, Rochester Mills; Judy Smith and a special friend Skip Carnahan, Indiana; David Moore and wife Tina, Indiana; Kenny Moore and wife Barbe, Indiana; son-in-law Jeff Mack, Indiana; grandchildren – Dr. Meghan Mack, Andrew Mack, Justin and Jeremy (Greg) Bath, Savanna Smith, David Moore and wife Susan, Patrick Moore, John Chichy and wife Johnna, Kandice Wellman and husband Trevor, Sophia Chichy, Bryon Smith and wife Jamie, Steve Smith and wife Rachel; 11 great grandchildren and enjoyed special visits from Brandon, Luca and Nico. He is also survived by sisters-in-law – Ruth Moore, Jean Zbur; his cousin Helen Leasure; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Linda Moore Mack in 2008, his brother Craig Moore, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 A.M. at the Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ryan Mowen officiating. Interment will be made in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Rochester Mills.
