Betty M. (Hadden) Hudak, 96, of Commodore, PA died Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Live Well Estate Personal Care Home in Hillsdale, PA.
The daughter of the late Lynn A. and Mary (Donahey) Hadden, Sr., she was born on January 16, 1923 in Commodore, PA.
She was a 1940 graduate of Marion Center High School.
Betty was a longtime member of the Montgomery Church of the Brethren, where she had been active in the Women’s Fellowship and served as the group’s president.
She had formerly been a member of the UMWA Auxiliary and the Commodore Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.
Betty shared over seventy years with her late husband, Michael “Plink” J. Hudak, Sr., who passed away on November 18, 2016.
She is survived by her six children: Lynndale Clair Hadden and wife Pam of LaVerne, CA; Vernon Leroy Hadden and wife Maria of Austin, TX; Gary Gene Hudak and wife Brenda of North Las Vegas, NV; Michael Joseph Hudak, Jr. and wife Karen of Commodore, PA; Delbert James Hudak and wife Rebecca of Clymer, PA and Anita Rae (Hudak) Fisher and husband Gary of Suffolk, VA; her fifteen grandchildren: John Hadden; Dale Hadden; Keith Hadden; Donald Hadden; Celeste (Hadden) Duval; Rebecca (Hudak) Bonaguidi; Mary Desjarlais; Shannon Hudak; Michael Hudak, III; Nicholas Hudak; Austin Hudak; Courtney Watson; Israel Bennett; Jason Bennett and Seth Fisher and a large number of great grandchildren.
Also surviving are her brothers: Rob Roy Hadden and wife Dorothy of Chipley, FL and Lynn Hadden, Jr. and wife Bernie of St. Boniface, PA.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers: William; Clair and Dale Hadden and her sister: Emmabelle Stewart.
Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4:00 p.m. and 7 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 with her son, Pastor Vernon Hadden as the officiant. Interment will take place at the Montgomery Cemetery.
