The Indiana School Board last night approved a meeting between members of the district’s administration and members of the board’s buildings and grounds committee to meet with with an architectural firm concerning a portion of East Pike Elementary School.
The meeting will focus on a proposed new entrance for the elementary school, and Superintendent Michael Vuckovich talked about some of the issues that will be discussed.

In other business, the board also approved a survey to be taken by 11th and 12th graders developed by Dr. Stephen Osborne of the IUP-Small Business Institute. Vuckovich says this is part of efforts of trying to prepare the students for the future.
The board also approved budget reductions for the contracted school psychologist, summer music program, summer SAT prep, and after school math programs that totaled $100,160. The money will be used for the newly-created MTSS/Literacy facilitator position.
