An Indiana High School Student was the winner of a recent scholarship competition.
Indiana High School senior Carrie Smith won a $10,000 scholarship from Edgar Snyder and Associates law firm in their “Words to be Heard” contest. Her entry in the contest was a board game that explored the dangers of distracted driving and drinking and driving. The game itself involved players answering questions about Pennsylvania’s DUI laws, texting-and-driving statistics, and other related matters and is intended to teach others about safe driving habits.
Smith
Smith is a scholar-athlete and a member of the I.H.S. key club, NHS and is the secretary of the Student Government Association. She plans to study Biology at West Chester University in the fall and ultimately wants to attend medical school to become a psychiatrist.
