Jung Ho Kang hit a solo home run in the top of the first for the Pirates’ only run in a 1-1 tie against the Orioles in Sarasota. Trevor Williams gave up three hits in three innings while allowing no runs. Nick Kingham also went three scoreless innings. Steven Brault gave up a run in the 8th as the Orioles tied the game.
The Bucs will travel to Houston to take on the Astros in two games at Minute Maid Park, starting today. Opening Day is Thursday in Cincinnati.
