Pitt football coach Pat Narduzzi has gone south again to get a recruit from an incoming high school senior. Wide receiver Lamar Seymore of Northwestern High School in Miami tweeted yesterday that he is 100 percent committed to the Panthers after giving a verbal commitment to Miami, where his brother is an offensive lineman, over two years ago.
Seymore is ranked as a 3-star recruit by Rivals.com and is the sixth recruit from the class of ‘23. He had 19 other Division I offers, including from Penn State and West Virginia.
Penn State coach James Franklin has gotten a verbal commitment from Scranton Prep running back London Montgomery, who ran for 2,356 yards and scored 36 touchdowns last year.
Rivals.com rates Montgomery a four-star recruit. The speedy running back is the 17th recruit from the class of ’23 for Franklin.
