At last night’s Indiana Borough Council meeting, council got to talk with representatives from the White Township Recreation Complex concerning the future of the recreation commission.
Last night, White Township Manager Milt Lady and Recreation Director Ryan Shaffer were present to talk to the board about how the new recreation commission may look in the future, and to dispel some of the rumors that had been flying about. One of those rumors was that the township expects Indiana Borough to write a blank check and hope for the best. Shaffer said that they would welcome any assistance they can get.

Kayecee Newell of Indiana Borough Council, who is also council’s representative to the Rec Commission, said that the agreement between the township and the borough will come down to the details.

Talks are expected to continue between the two entities on this issue.
