YOUTH LEGION
The Youth Legion Western Regionals begin on July 22nd at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City, and today the process of determining who will play there goes on.
S&T Bank Punxsutawney and Brookville Fireman’s Club will play Game One of their three-game championship series in Jefferson County, while in Indiana County, the SW Jack Drillers will take on Marion Center in the Game One of a three-game series to determine which team will serve as the host team for the Regional.
Marion Center visits SW Jack at the White Township Recreation Complex today at 6 o’clock, and the two teams will play again tomorrow at Marion Center, again at 6. If a third game is necessary it will be played either Wednesday or Thursday at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City at 7 PM. If the championship series is already decided, the game would be Wednesday, but if a third game is necessary in the Punxsy/Brookville series, SW Jack and Marion Center will play their deciding game on Thursday.
LITTLE LEAGUE
Sunday afternoon Little League action in District 7 included Homer City handling Marion Center, 12-3. Homer City is 3-1 in the tournament and will play Indiana, which is 3-0, for the title. Homer City would have to win twice but Indiana only once.
There is Renda Digital TV on tonight, featuring Indiana taking on Clymer in Boys 10U, and presented by The Bullpen Sports Club. The District 7 championship game is live at 5:45 and you can watch it on all four of our Renda Indiana website and Facebook pages.
