One person was injured in a crash that happened late Sunday morning at the Jimmy Stewart Airport.

Airport officials confirmed that the accident was not connected with the Airshow going on this weekend, but airport manager Rick Fuellner confirmed that a pilot was coming in for a landing at the airport close to 11:00 AM when the crash happened.
The pilot was not named by airport officials, but he was airlifted to IRMC for treatment of injuries. Other details on the crash have not been released as the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
