Saturday was a difficult day on Indiana County’s roadways, with a number of accidents reported.
Among the vehicle crashes was one on Route 286 West in Center Township, to which Aultman and Homer City firefighters were sent at 2:24 PM. Cherryhill Township was dispatched to a crash on Route 580 in Cherryhill Township at 3:36 PM, with an assist from Pine Township to set up a landing zone along Route 402 a half-hour later. Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were summoned for collision between a motorcycle and a deer on South Walnut Street at Blank Street at 9:06 PM. And Coal Run and Iselin responded to a crash on Rearick Road in Young Township at 9:38.
IDENTITY THEFT REPORTED
State police are looking into an identity theft case in northern Indiana County. A 50-year-old Canoe Township man’s bank account was drained of $193 via his debit card. Police do have a suspect as the investigation continues.
