Last night was the start of the Indiana Mall’s annual race car show, but this year, it was a special opening ceremony as those in attendance got the chance to pay tribute to the man who had the idea for the show.
As we know, Jerry Boucher, better known as Jerry B, passed away on March 8th. Jerry was the driving force to bring the race car show to the Indiana Mall for a chance to people to get an up close look at the race cars and meet the drivers and race track officials. During last night’s opening ceremonies, Sherry Renosky shared her memories of how the race car show came to be.

Along with organizing the event, Boucher would also provide some of the music from the 50’s and 60’s. He would DJ and host the event until last year.
The cars are still on display at the Indiana Mall for the rest of this weekend.
