For the second consecutive week, Clymer Little League took down Indiana Little League to clinch the District VII softball championship. This time it was the 10u team that beat Indiana, 6-2.

Clymer head coach George Pavlosky said after the game that he was proud of his girls for coming out strong despite a slow start. He adds that the win marked a milestone for Clymer Little League.
Reese Mahaffey excelled from both the pitcher’s mound and the batter’s box, going 1-for-2 with an inside-the-park grand slam and two runs scored. She also picked up a complete game win on the rubber while allowing just two earned runs on five hits with 12 strikeouts.
Pavlosky said he was proud of Mahaffey’s performance.
Kendra Pavlosky delivered the go-ahead walk in the sixth for Clymer, and while the offense shined, she said it was the defense that won the game.
Aunika Brooks went 2-for-2 with a single and a triple for Clymer.
For Indiana, catcher A.J. Putt went 2-for-3 with two singles while Kendall Russell went 1-for-2 with a double.
Clymer continues its playoff push with a road trip to Mifflin County next week. Game time is TBA.
