A series of classes and talks will be held throughout the day today at the KCAC to help improve safety and security among our schools.
The Indiana School District, along with State Representative Jim Struzzi, the Indiana Tourism Bureau and IUP are holding a Free Safety and Security Symposium at the KCAC. The program was put forward by Indiana School District Superintendent Mike Vukovich, who wanted to see experts on preventive and reactive measures to aid in keeping kids, teachers and staffers safe from danger.
Vukovich said that this will be a good resource for everyone who attends, as they get the chance to hear some ideas for solutions.

Everything gets underway at 8:00 at the KCAC, with a welcoming speech at 8:30 and the first of four break-out sessions to start at 9:00. Vukovich estimates over 500 people will be in attendance for today’s symposium.
