At last night’s White Township Planning Commission Meeting, the board approved the preliminary sketch plan for the new Indiana County Conservation District Offices.
Those offices would be located at the ICTC complex on Hamill Road. They are looking at using 6 acres of the 55 acre ICTC lot. Only two of those six acres will be used for a building, the rest will be used for outdoor workshops, dirt and gravel road programs and environmental classes. Assistant township manager Chris Anderson said that this sketch plan is just an early draft of how they want things to look.

Anderson added that there were some minor comments from the board, looking at storm water calculations and landscaping, but otherwise, the plan looks good.
In other business, the board gave conditional approval for a new building plan for a new Doctor’s office for Dr. Christopher and Jessica Sharbaugh on Rustic Lodge Road, where Bill’s Locksmith was. They want to build their building closer to the road. The conditions that need to be met for full approval include inspection of sanitary sewage connectors and some of the plants on site. They planned on using arborvitae exclusively on the site, but the board is encouraging them to use other trees and plants in conjunction with the arborvitae.
The board also approved a revised final site plan for the Burger King restaurant. The changes made to the approved plan include a split drive-thru lane and no bump-out drive through windows.
