A paving project affecting Ben Franklin and Warren Roads in White Township gets underway today.
Crews from Derry Construction will be milling and paving portions of both roads as part of night and daytime operations. Paving on Ben Franklin Road will run from the intersection with Philadelphia Street and West Pike to Oakland Avenue, while the Warren Road project will run from the intersection with Ben Franklin Road to Oakland Avenue.
Flaggers will be out as needed, and work will be done during the daytime and nighttime hours. Temporary paint lines will be put in place and PennDOT warns that some of the road surfaces will be rough. Motorists should expect delays and use caution in the work zone.
The work is part of a $3.3 million paving project. The project is expected to run two weeks, but PennDOT representatives said it could wrap up sooner if things go well. All the work is weather-dependent.
