As county courts resume activity after a long holiday weekend, the schedule today includes a plea court hearing, and a motions hearing for one man involved in four different cases.
The plea court hearing is for 32-year-old Michael Edward Leone of Ford City. He is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals causing serious bodily injury or death, harassment and resisting arrest for an incident on July 23rd of last year.
The motions hearing is for 30-year-old Joshua Stitt. Today’s motion hearing concerns a petition to lift probation detainers in four cases. He was sentenced to up to four years in prison and three years of probation for a retail theft case on May 27th of 2015. He was also ordered to serve up to four years in prison and three years of probation for guilty pleas to child endangerment for an incident on May 19th of 2015, up to five years in prison and three years of probation for possession with intent to deliver in March of 2017, and to serve up to five years in prison and three years of probation for an incident on June 10th of 2015.
