A woman known for her career in Indiana County’s human services area has announced her candidacy for the republican nomination for county auditor.
Bonni Dunlap announced her candidacy through a news release this morning. She has served 23 years as the Director of the county’s Department of Human Services and has also been the Executive Director at the Housing Authority of Indiana County. She expects to leave that position this summer.
In a news release, Dunlap said that she understands the importance of monitoring taxpayer dollars that are administered by county departments, as she has been a long-time county employee and knows about the work done across all 25 county offices.
