PennDOT says two sections of work on Route 422 in Armstrong County will affect drivers this month.
Starting on Monday, work will begin on the reconstruction of 422 between Rupp Church Road and Rinker Hollow Road. The project will include a left-turn lane at Silvis Hollow Road. It’s a two-season job, scheduled to conclude in the fall of 2020. It will also include patching and resurfacing on 422 between Rinker Hollow Road and Blanket Hill.
Work crews will begin clearing and repairing a landslide along 422 about a mile-and-a-half west of Elderton starting on Monday, March 18th. There will be single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers on the highway during off-peak hours. The work should be done by the end of April.
