The Pirates held on to defeat the Brewers last night, 8-7, highlighted by a three-homer night from catcher Michael Perez. it marked the third time in eleven days that a Pirates player had hit three homers in a game, a Major League record. Bryan Reynolds and Jack Suwinski had previously accomplished the feat.
Roansy Contreras, with a 2-1 record and an era of 2.76, will get the start tonight against Corbin Brynes with a record of 6-4 and an era of 2.41.
