State police have not yet issued reports on accidents after yesterday’s snow hit the area, but the Indiana Fire Association says on its Facebook page that it handled two crashes which happened almost simultaneously last evening, and a third wreck a short while later.
Rescue Squad volunteers responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Sexton Road, off Route 286 in White Township. The vehicle was in a ditch and no one was injured.
The other accident involved three vehicles on Route 422 near Sharp Paving in Armstrong Township. There were multiple injuries and one trapped driver. In a hard snow, crew members extricated the driver in eleven minutes. Route 422 was closed for several hours last night for the investigation and cleanup of the accident scene.
The third accident was a vehicle into a pole along IRMC Drive in White Township.
In its post, the Fire Association thanks all who assisted and the driving public for its patience.
Other accidents reported on the county’s 911 website include crashes on Route 403 in Green Township, Route 22 in East Wheatfield Township, Route 22 in Burrell Township, and Route 119 in North Mahoning Township. Also, Plumville firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Harrison Avenue in Plumville.
