Tomorrow will be a day out for the kids at the Indiana Mall with the 16th Annual Family Fun Fest put on by the Children’s Advisory Commission of Indiana County.
This year’s theme is Full STEAM Ahead, which is based in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Activities start at 10 AM with over 50 tables set up by local groups that will provide activities for the kids and information for adults.
Kathy Abby-Baker of the Children’s Advisory Commission said that the theme came about because of the fact that STEAM curriculum is in the classroom.
There will also be kid-centric entertainment throughout the day, including a Thunder and Lightning show from the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center at 10:00, A dance show from Sue Hewett Dance Company at noon, a chem-mystery files show from Carnegie Science Center, and a demonstration from ATA Taekwondo at 2:00.
