Over 15 breweries were represented at yesterday’s first annual Springtober Fest event at the KCAC in Indiana. Included among them were Indiana’s own Levity Brewing Co. and Noble Stein Brewing Company.
Both Levity and Noble Stein reported positive receptions, but Erich Walls of Levity says they offer more than just great beer:
“We have 14-16 beers on tap at any given time, and we have really good food. That’s the one thing I really want people to know — really good food.”
Maxwell Varner of Noble Stein said sampling events like Springtober Fest are the reason the brewery exists today:
“We’ve been doing samplings at events like this for a while. Even back when we were doing the home-brew sort of scale, which is actually where we got the spark and initiative to really create the brewery that we have now today.”
Other PA breweries present included DocG’s Brewing Co. from Dubois, Full Pint Brewing Company of North Versailles, Penn Brewery of Pittsburgh, Lancaster Brewing Co., Block House Brewing of Pittsburgh, and Straub Brewery of St. Marys.
