One person was charged with simple assault, harassment and other charges in connection with an incident early Friday morning in Indiana Borough.
Borough Police say that they saw a person who was assaulted and injured. The victim was not identified in the report, but the suspect was identified as David Simonich III of Beaver Falls. He had assaulted one person, and tried to assault a second man who was also not identified who tried to stop Simonich’s initial attack. A third man who tried to stop the assault was spat on by Simonich. Police discovered that Simonich was intoxicated at the time of the assault.
Simonich was arrested and later released. A criminal complaint was filed at District Judge Guy Haberl’s office. On top of simple assault and harassment, Simonich faces charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
