The Honorable Richard Orendorff passed away in December of 2021. He had served as a judge for 30 years at the Indiana district court, currently overseen by Judge Guy Haberl. At an event on Friday, Orendorff was remembered for his kindness and for being even-tempered when on the bench. Prior to his time on the bench, Orendorff served the country in the Marines during the Vietnam War, and he also served the community as a volunteer firefighter with the Indiana Fire Association.
During yesterday’s event, the four judges presented Richard’s daughter, Julie Orendorff-Brunetto with a special memoriam on behalf of the county judges and the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania. Others in attendance included other members of Orendorff’s family, staffers with the current district judges, Sheriff’s office deputies and Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco.
