After weeks of waiting, the Steelers have reportedly signed 2022 first round pick Kenny Pickett to a rookie contract, marking the last of the first round picks to sign to their team.
NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the move shortly before 8 o’clock this morning and he adds that the deal will run through the 2025 season with a fifth-year option in 2026.
Pickett was selected 20th overall by the Steelers and comes off a Heisman-contending season at PITT that includes an ACC championship. He will compete with newcomer Mitch Trubisky and returning back-up Mason Rudolph for the starting quarterback job this season.
He was also the last Steelers pick to sign.
