A member of Indiana Borough Council has announced he will run for Indiana County Commissioner.
Donald Lancaster of Indiana has announced he will run for the Democratic nomination for County Commissioner. Lancaster has served on Indiana Borough Council since 2014 and has been part of the public safety committee, which he has chaired since 2016. He also is on the Indiana County Sustainable Economic Development Task Force, and is a member of the Indiana County Stormwater Educational Partnership. Lancaster is also a former schoolteacher, having taught vocational and special education for over 30 years in Pittsburgh.
Lancaster is the second Democrat to announce his candidacy for commissioner. The other is Sherene Hess, who is running for re-election. Republicans Rodney Ruddock and Mike Baker have announced their intent not to run again. Maria Jack is running for the Republican nomination.
