Altoona thumped New Hampshire, 7-1, last night. Liover Peguero and Matt Gorski were both 2-for-5 and Blake Sabol was 2-for-3 with two doubles. Jared Triolo went 1-for-2 with a homer and three walks. Jeff Passantino started and went three shutout innings in his season debut after spending the season on the sixty-day injured list. Austin Roberts threw two shutout innings, helped by Henry Davis throwing out a runner trying to advance on a wild pitch, and got the win.

Altoona second baseman Nick Gonzalez has been transferred from the 7-day to the 60-day injured list with heel pain. He last played May 31st. The Pirates’ number one prospect according to MLB Pipeline, Gonzalez is hitting .247 with four home runs this season.
