A Blairsville man and Indiana County Attorney has announced plans to run for district judge.
Robert Bell has made his official announcement to run for the Blairsville District Judge’s seat. That district also includes Armagh and Saltsburg Boroughs and Blacklick, Burrell, Conemaugh, East Wheatfield, West Wheatfield and Young Townships. Bell was district attorney in Indiana County from 1996 to 2007, and returned to private law in 2008. Bell has practiced law since 1985 and has served as a part-time public defender in Indiana County since 2013. Bell graduated from Saltsburg High School, IUP and the Ohio Northern University College of Law.
Bell will run on both the Democratic and Republican Tickets. He joins an already crowded field as Angelina Ashbaugh of Saltsburg and the current District Judge, Jennifer Rega of Blairsville, announced that she would run for re-election to the post.
