In Indiana County Court yesterday, separate juries found two defendants guilty of trafficking in drugs.
36-year-old Henry Lewis King of Turtle Creek and 35-year-old Kareem Middlebrook of Arnold were both convicted of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. King prosecuted by District Attorney Pat Dougherty before Judge William Martin and Middlebrook was prosecuted by Assistant D.A. Gina Ryen-Force before Judge Thomas Bianco.
King and Middlebrook were arrested after a traffic stop last August at the Route 422/286 interchange in White Township. Police at the time said they found fourteen grams of heroin and a package of unused stamp bags in the car. Both King and Middlebrook were backseat passengers. Both are also already convicted drug dealers with long rap sheets in Indiana County and elsewhere. They were each convicted of having 5.9 grams of heroin.
The two will be sentenced on July 7th.
