Road paving work will continue tonight in the area of the 422/286 expansion project, and it could cause some major traffic tie-ups.
The affected area is near the Walmart in White Township as paving, line painting and traffic signal installation will go into phase two tonight. The project is expected to resume at 7:00 PM and run until 7:00 AM Wednesday morning. Traffic is expected to be bad in the area as the lane shifts continue to be made, and people are asked to be patient if they have to be in the area at that time.
Drivers will also have to be aware of the closure of the Oakland Avenue Entrance to Indiana Mall that’s in effect today. Those headed to the mall are asked to use the Warren Road entrance. The road will be closed for the movement of traffic lanes and signal heads. This is anticipated to be a one-day closure.
