The weather has been good as of late, and some have been taking advantage of the good weather by getting some work done around the house. Unfortunately, this also means that some brush fires have bee popping up with some regularity.
Two brush fires were reported yesterday by Indiana County 911. The first was on Brendlow Lane in West Wheatfield Township. Clyde and Armagh Fire Departments were called for that brush fire at 1:47 PM. About a half-hour later, Blairsville Fire Department was dispatched by Westmoreland County for a brush fire in Derry Township, but the exact street was not provided.
Otherwise it was a quiet day for first responders. Indiana Fire Association and Citizen’s Ambulance were called out for a carbon monoxide alarm activation at 11:30 last night at a location on Water Street in Indiana Borough. And a vehicle accident was reported by Indiana County 911 at 4:20 this morning on Route 403 North in Pine Township. The Pine Township fire department, state police and Citizens Ambulance were called to the scene.
