Starting today, employers can register for the “Indiana County Employment Expo 2019”, which will be held on April 4th at the Kovalchick Complex.
The event coordinated by PA Careerlink is in partnership with the Indiana County K-12 Comprehensive Guidance Advisory Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, the county commissioners, Indiana County Economic Development Corporation and Center for Economic Operations, the offices of Senator Don White and Representatives Jim Struzzi, Jeff Pyle, and Chris Dush, and Renda Broadcasting.
There will be two phases to the expo…from 10 AM to noon, more than 800 ninth and tenth grade students from Indiana County’s school will attend and have the opportunity to discuss career fields with employers. From 12:30 to 3:30, there will be a job fair open to the public, with veterans admitted at 12:30 and the rest of the public, including students in the 11th and 12th grades admitted at one o’clock.
Employers can choose to participate as job recruiters or as co-sponsors. The partners are distributing information and registration forms today. If you or your company are not contacted but would like more information, contact Careerlink at 724-471-7220 or Careerlink’s Kevin Lazor at klazor@pa.gov.
