A Shelocta woman ended up in the Armstrong County Jail Saturday night after a shooting at a home along Hemlock Road in South Ben Township.
State police were dispatched to a report of shots fired just after 9:30 PM. They say 43-year-old Barbara Janine Crissman was firing a handgun at her family members and tried to leave the scene, but drove into a ditch on the property, and hid from police in the back seat of her vehicle.
Crissman was taken into custody and police noted the odor of alcohol and an open container in the vehicle. She refused a blood draw to determine her blood-alcohol content and is facing charges of driving under the influence, plus the shooting-related offenses.
