The Indiana Area School Board is poised to adopt the district’s budget tonight, and the board will make a number of moves to get ready for the new academic year to begin.
The $61.3 million budget will carry with it a real estate tax millage of 15.36, which is the same as the current budget.
The board will also vote on a motion to approve a $12 million bond issue. Other items up for consideration are a revised social studies curriculum and a number of policies and personnel decisions, including the naming of an athletic director.
Purchase Line’s school board will hold a committee meeting tonight. The agenda includes the district budget, a host of new and revised district policies, and many personnel items. Among them are the athletic director, boys and girls basketball coaches, and teaching and staff positions.
The Purchase Line school board does not meet in July, so the agenda tonight is packed with agreements and contracts that will take effect in the new school year.
